Any body who knows me...knows that I'm a CALYPSO head...not a Soca head perse..eh? I love the traditional calypso structure. Its what i grew up to...so it always evokes something in me.
Well ..I am In love....Ive found a soca song that makes me Giddy when i hear it. And you know what? I refuse to call it soca. Its a Calypso.....

That drum line is call and response at its purest TRINIDADIAN spirit..
I bet the drummer tyad no TAILLL when this song done..

Its a Minor Key... a Key change always builds excitement in a song anyways....
A build up to the release ..the Explosion in the chorus..
And Miss lady kicks that up a notch and goes MINOR key...
I am already a sucker for a minor key switch..

OMG...Cliv you have no idea how much I love this song, from the first moment I heard it1 But only a true Trinbagonian could break it down the way you just did...you just did a class on calypso music with this post! LOL
